The gameplay is NEW, but it's not more open. I feel rather that my options are more restricted. It changes the gameplay, but I'm not sure it opens new gameplay. More Freedom - This is where I have some doubts. From a coolness and fun factor, this is a straight win. The new enemies are cool as hell too, and the new marine class is fun. Firing a multimelta that deletes all armor in an AOE, just charging forward and sending enemies to hell, a melee attack that does 5 friggin stun, it is nuts. It plays like a dread, absolutely wreaking havoc.

The Dread is only used in certain mission types, so you do not get free access anytime you want. In the early game its the difference of fighting cultists and zombies vs Nurgle Marines.Īlso the Pod sizes are larger.This even if its weak stuff is still a massive increase in difficulty as you may not have the gear or levels you need to deal with an 8 or 12 size pod compared to a 4.
